Help me get to Guatemala 🇬🇹

This November I’m travelling to Guatemala on a journey that has been sitting in my heart for some time.

Guatemala is deeply connected to the cacao that I work with and share through ADALA, and I feel a real pull to go there… to meet the people and communities who grow and work with cacao, to spend time on the land, to listen, learn and experience the traditions and culture that surround this beautiful plant.

I want to understand more deeply the journey of cacao…from the land and the people who nurture it, to the cup we share in ceremony here at home.

My goal is £3,000

I’m raising £3,000 towards the costs of making this journey possible.

If you’ve ever joined me for a cacao ceremony, bought cacao from me, worked with me, shared a circle, supported ADALA.uk or simply followed along …. you’ve already been part of this journey.

Now I’m asking whether you’d like to help me take this next step.

Every donation, no matter how small, will help.

There is absolutely no expectation to give. If you feel called to contribute, I’ll receive it with huge gratitude. 🙏🏼

And if we raise more than £3,000…

My hope is that this journey becomes about more than just my own experience.

If the fundraiser exceeds my £3,000 target, any additional funds will be used to support community projects in the UK and/or Guatemala.

I’ll share more about where those additional funds go as the journey unfolds, so that the support can continue beyond my own trip.

Why Guatemala?

Cacao has become such an important part of my life and my work.

But behind every piece of cacao is land, people, history, tradition and community.

I want to go beyond simply working with cacao here in the UK.

I want to sit with the people who grow it.

I want to learn.

I want to listen.

I want to walk the land.

And I want to return home with a deeper understanding that I can honour through the work I share with others.

This is a journey of connection, respect, learning and gratitude. 🌿
